Use AI Subtitles to Convert Audio into Subtitles

AI Subtitles allows you to transcribe the videos played on your phone or a conversation into text in real time, display the text in a floating window on the screen.

Identify and Convert Audio into Subtitles

AI Subtitles transcribes audio and video clips and generates subtitles in real time when it is inconvenient for you to play sound.

  1. You can access AI Subtitles in either of the following ways:

    • Swipe down from the status bar to display the notification panel (you can swipe further to display all shortcut switches), touch , drag AI Subtitles to the shortcut panel, and enable this feature.

    • Alternatively, wake up AI Voice and give voice commands such as "Bangwo tingyixia" ("Listen to the video for me"), or "Zimu" ("Subtitles").

  2. A floating window will then be displayed on the video playback screen. Touch to access the settings screen, select Media under Audio input, and then select a language under Input language based on the video language.

    If the source language of the video is foreign language, you can also enable the translation feature in Input language.

  3. When you return to the video playback screen, the subtitles you set up will be displayed. You can hold the bar at the top of the floating window to move it on the screen, or drag the border of the floating window to change its size. Touching will close the floating window.

Currently, only English subtitles can be translated.

Convert Speech into Text Using AI Subtitles

AI Subtitles can help people with hearing impairments to convert what others say into subtitles, display the text on their phones, and can also broadcast their text input in real time.

  1. You can access AI Subtitles in either of the following ways:

    • Swipe down from the status bar to display the notification panel (you can swipe further to display all shortcut switches), touch , drag AI Subtitles to the shortcut panel, and enable this feature.

    • Alternatively, wake up AI Voice and give voice commands such as "Bangwo tingyixia" ("Listen to what others are saying"), or "Zimu" ("Subtitles").

  2. A floating window will then be displayed on your phone. Touch to access the settings screen and switch the audio input to the microphone. Your phone will then automatically convert the voice into text when it recognizes that someone is speaking.

    To broadcast the text, touch , enter the text, and touch . Your phone will then convert the text into audio.

  3. Touch to access the settings screen where you can set the font size. When you return to the floating window, the subtitles you set up will be displayed.

    You can hold the bar at the top of the floating window to move it on the screen, or drag the border of the floating window to change its size. Touching will close the floating window.

Currently, only Chinese is supported for voices picked up via the microphone.
